マンホールを通して、ある場所のアイデンティティーを表現するなんて考えた事もありませんでした。でも、日本では殆どの都市が各都市オリジナルのデザインのマンホールがあります。各都市を代表するモノがそのデザインに使われている事が多く、各都市が何をその都市を代表するモノに選んだかを見るだけでも楽しいです。奇麗で複雑なデザインのマンホールもあれば、とてもシンプルなものもあります。どうであれ、その場所のアイデンティティーを表すのにマンホール使うというのはいいアイデアだと思います。私は、各都市のマンホールを写真に撮って集めています。今年の終わりには、たくさん集まっているとおもいます！

Mai havia pensat que es podria descriure la identitat d’un lloc mitjançant les tapes del clavegueram. No obstant això, al Japó gairebé totes les ciutats tenen un disseny especial per a les seves tapes de clavegueram. És realment divertit intentar descobrir quin tema hauran triat per a cada lloc. Algunes d’elles són realment boniques i ben fetes, mentre que altres són més simples. Però siguin com siguin, crec que és una molt bona manera d’expressar la identitat d’un lloc. Jo m’estic dedicant a fotografiar-les per tenir una gran col·lecció al final de l’any!

I never thought of describing a place identity on manholes. However, in Japan almost every town has a special design for its manholes, making it really fun to try to discover which topic they will have choosen for each place. Some of them are really beautiful and well done, while others are more simple. But no matter which kind they are, I think it is a very good way to express each place’s identty. I am photographing all of them to have a big collection by the end of the year!

Nunca pensé que se podría describir la identidad de un lugar mediante las tapas del alcantarillado. Sin embargo, en Japón casi todas las ciudad tienen un diseño especial para sus tapas de alcantarillado. Es realmente divertido tratar de descubrir qué tema habrán elegido para cada lugar. Algunas de ellas son realmente hermosas y bien hechas, mientras que otras son más simples. Pero sean como sean, creo que es una muy buena manera de expresar la identidad de un lugar. Yo me estoy dedicando a fotografiarlas para tener una gran colección al final del año!
