​Setouchi islands are a bunch of islands located between Shikoku and Okayama area, in the Inland Sea. During the past few years many of these islands have suffered from depopulation due to the aging of its people and the departure of the young ones to the big cities. Setouchi International Art Festival was created with the intention of making people know about them through art. The Inland Sea is a very special place, and so all these islands, since despite of being in an island, you are always surrounded by many other islands and mountains feeling as if you were embraced by them. This video shows Ogijima Island, its environment and some of the artworks that were installed there this summer.
