The idea of the Japan Photo Project was initially born in 2008, after our fifth photographic trip to Japan. When we set the terms and goals of our project, and were ready to start looking for sponsors, the financial crisis hit the world. In spite of one of the worst crisis in history, some companies have agreed to become our partners lending and providing us with their products. Thanks to them, we are barely able to launch this project. However, we have less than half of the budget that we estimated back in 2008. Although we are financially not well equipped, we have decided to carry out this project and share it through this website. So that way, anybody who wants to travel to Japan will be able to do so, even if it is just virtually.
